I made two batches of cup cakes in the silicone muffin tray at 350 degrees, with no problems at all.
BUT, when I tried to make the blueberry muffins in the same pan at 400 degrees...........UGH! The same experience happened as happened earlier in the game with a bread recipe. The minute I smelled that awful smell, I removed the muffins. As soon as they were cool enough to handle I removed them from the pan. I thought, well I will cut into a muffin and taste test it so I can review it.
It was hard as a rock! I could barely cut it in half with a razor-sharp knife.
Since this preemie baby only has one other recipe I will remake the muffins tomorrow and use my daughter's big oven, since I will have to use her muffin pans next time. I threw away my last two silicone pans. Never again!!!
I ordered two 6 cup Wilton pans from Amazon to replace the silicone.
Fortunately I had DH buy frozen blueberries, so I have enough for another batch.
So Chef's beware! This is two times for me. Don't use silicone pans for baking at temperatures over 350 degrees.
Sorry about your mishap with the silicone bakeware. Hope you have much better luck with the new pans.

That is so annoying! I would call or email the company and complain bitterly! Most companies are happy to set things right.

Whew! Last one. I had to dig my barbecue out of 3 feet (literally) of snow to make it, but well worth it.

And to prove I'm not just making this stuff up...
