    Menu for Week of September 22 thru September 28, 2012

    Here are my plans for this week (and part of next week as well:

    Meal #1: Meatloaf (from a family recipe I keep testing and retesting), with mashed potatoes and corn for the carb eaters, probably Another Mock Mashed Potatoes (mashed Cauliflower)-low Carb for myself or a side salad

    Meal #2: Ranch Burgers with wheat buns, fries and sweet potato fries

    Meal #3: Chicken Fried Rice - using up some leftovers

    Meal #4: Pesto Chicken with Farfalle (using a recipe on the package of pesto sauce)

    Meal #5: Meatloaf Sandwiches with leftover veggies

    Meal #6: Bull Wings with celery & blue cheese (beef chunks marinated in wing sauce), with a grilled chicken sandwich for my BF (he doesn't like spicy food) - still have a pkg of the "wings" in my freezer to use up

    Meal #7: frozen pizza night or eat out

    Also hoping to get some potato bread made,as well as Chinese 5-Spice Oatmeal Cookies, which I plan to ice, and someIsraeli Salad for my dd's school lunches.

    We have a frozen turtle pie waiting in the freezer. I usually make my own Riley's Frozen Turtle Pie, but I bought one this time since I didn't have the ingredients on hand and I saw one that looked good at Aldi.
    Ranch Burgers looks great. I must be in the mood for burgers cuz those are the recipes that are catching my eye!

    Today (Monday): Trying Hot Tamale Balls and will serve them over polenta with a green salad. Lunches are PB&J with popcorn as our afterschool snack.

    Tuesday: Trying Pollo Pendejo (Foolproof Chicken) with white rice and a green salad. Using Adobo Seasoning for the adobo seasoning. Breakfast is eggs and toast, lunch is ham on baguette. Snack will be leftovers from Monday night (if there are any!).

    Wednesday: Bacon, cheese and spinach frittata with a fruit plate. Breakfast is waffles and sausage (both from the freezer), lunch is bagel with cream cheese and snack is turkey rollups (turkey spread with cream cheese and a dill pickle slice).

    Thursday: A repeat of Chinese Egg Rolls! We all loved them and soooo easy. Thanks Charmie!!! Served with white rice and a crudite plate. Breakfast will be cereal, lunch is tuna salad with crackers and for snack I'm going to try Tapas - Shrimp in Green Mayo

    Friday is my day off from cooking dinner. Take 'n' bake or out to a local brewpub. Breakfast is breakfast burritos (egg, cheese and salsa in a flour tortilla). Older DD will have pb&j for lunch, younger will get lunch at school. For afterschool snack on Fridays we always go out for frozen yogurt, ice cream or slurpees.

    Saturday: DH's job...I work all day.

    Sunday: We always play it by ear.
    It tickles me to no end that you like my eggrolls!!! I smile really big!

    Was a tad behind today due to unforeseen circumstances

    Natural light had escaped me and was one of the only places I could think to try and actually get a photo

    Made this for a party tomorrow
