Menu for Week of September 22 thru September 28, 2012Go to page 1, 2, 3 Next Page >>Hello my bestest menu pals!!! How is everyone this fine week?
It has been a good week at my house, and I've made just about everything that I set out to make. Since the ZWT ended, I've been making more regular recipes, and fewer new ones. But I just can't get away from trying new stuff sometimes. Life seems like it's a little slower this coming week. It's nice, but it can get boring too. I've slowly been redecorating my bathroom (thanks Pinterest!). Today Joe the Plumber comes and puts in my new sink and faucet. I've already painted the cupboard, one wall, and the two towel racks (converting one into hooks instead of a bar). I've been buying decorations (thrift stores and yard sales) and have a new shower curtain, rugs and towels to put up when done. The last thing will be laying a new floor (the part I'm dreading doing!). When it's all said and done it will look shabby-chic, vintage-y, mostly white, cream and soft pinks and greens. I know this has nothing to do with cooking, but it is sooo fun!! Sooooo, here is my menu for the coming week. Share yours!!! Saturday - I'm going to a cooking class with a friend during lunch...so fun! My menfolk went fishing last week and some fish is in the freezer. So we hope to cook them today using Hot Grilled Trout, with some potatoes and maybe grilled zucchini. Sunday - Korean Roast Chicken Thighs using leg quarters (my DH's fav), rice and vegies Monday - Bow Ties With Sausage, Tomato, and Cream with salad and bread Tuesday - Chicken Bombay (Oamc), Falafel (loved these!!), hummus, and pitas or naan Wednesday - craving spinach and feta, so something using them...will be meatless. Thursday - Peppercorn Salisbury Steak Deluxe, mashed potatoes and peas Friday - stretch room! Congrats on the new room ... yes always exciting.
Great menu, lots of good stuff ... Sounds like you had a great week. At least you got stuff done. I will be back with mine ... an odd week, but nothing new for me. My 2 ladies were out yesterday and today, but will be back later and will call, and I can verify their menu. I have to work a couple of nights, but mostly days, so I don't see too big of a change, but I really want to use what I have on hand this week. I didn't even go to the market this am and I will hit the grocery store today, but I have 20 items, mostly cat related, some soda, 2 meats (ham and sausage), and stuff for soup. So I'm really using the "pantry, fridge and freezer items" this week and probably into next. But need to do that every now and then. Be back when I get their menus. Grocery Store is calling my name, Charmie777 wrote:

Oh wow - I saved a bunch of recipes from everyone this week. Thank you all for such great inspiration!
Here are my plans for this week (and part of next week as well: Meal #1: Meatloaf (from a family recipe I keep testing and retesting), with mashed potatoes and corn for the carb eaters, probably Another Mock Mashed Potatoes (mashed Cauliflower)-low Carb for myself or a side salad Meal #2: Ranch Burgers with wheat buns, fries and sweet potato fries Meal #3: Chicken Fried Rice - using up some leftovers Meal #4: Pesto Chicken with Farfalle (using a recipe on the package of pesto sauce) Meal #5: Meatloaf Sandwiches with leftover veggies Meal #6: Bull Wings with celery & blue cheese (beef chunks marinated in wing sauce), with a grilled chicken sandwich for my BF (he doesn't like spicy food) - still have a pkg of the "wings" in my freezer to use up Meal #7: frozen pizza night or eat out Also hoping to get some potato bread made,as well as Chinese 5-Spice Oatmeal Cookies, which I plan to ice, and someIsraeli Salad for my dd's school lunches. We have a frozen turtle pie waiting in the freezer. I usually make my own Riley's Frozen Turtle Pie, but I bought one this time since I didn't have the ingredients on hand and I saw one that looked good at Aldi. SarasotaCook wrote:
