I used to, but my back can't take much of it anymore so I have learned to just enjoy the labors of others!


Do you alwys have the same meal every Christmas or do you like to change it up a bit?

The same main dish, Swedish Meatballs, my DH's special mashed potatoes but the veggies and dessert I do switch up. Oh, and my grandma's Butterhorn rolls every year. She passed away this year so they will be especially poignant.

we tend to stick to much the same dishes, gammon, yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, etc

Do you cook and freeze, in advance, for these big festive meals?

Not generally, except for those meatballs, and that is mainly because the recipe makes so many meatballs, so it is time consuming.

What's your most favorite Christmas ornament or decoration?

I have several that mean a lot but probably one of my favourites is a red gilt bird with a red feathery tail, its just so cute!!!

Do you use all your ornaments every year, or mix it up a bit?

I use the same decorations from year to year, but add new ones every year, too.

When do you put up the tree, early or right before Christmas eve?

Usually the 2nd week in January, after Epiphany.


Do you make a lot of baked goods for the holidays?

Yes, I do, lots and lots! In fact, food is usually what I give everyone for gifts! That is what everyone asks for so that is what they get

yes, I regard food as an excellent gift, both for me and from me!!!!


when's your next family birthday?

That would be mine! I am a December baby I am almost ancient, I'll be 50 this year, but loved every minute of those years and don't mind a bit!
