I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to help with constipation and poor bowel evacuation. I have trouble especially for breakfast and lunch finding good foods to eat to help constipation. I usually eat bread in the morning and a sandwich for lunch. I would like a some sort of beverage but most of the recipes I see call for a lot of unusual ingredients that I don't have. Any ideas?
That much bread is not terribly good for colon health, Lisa. Is there some physical reason (allergies or IBS, maybe?) that you don't have more fruits/vegetables/fiber in your early meals?

If you're going to stick with bread for two of your daily meals, change to whole grain bread products (preferably stone ground, multi-grain).

Consider eating old-fashioned oatmeal or raisin bran for breakfast as an alternative to all that bread

Add an unpeeled apple to your breakfast every day...easy-peasy to eat on the go.

Make sure you're drinking enough water (
not coffee, tea or sodas) during the day (a
minimum of 1/2 gallon).

Eat whole fruits instead of drinking juice.

Add a live-culture cup of yogurt to your lunch to help increase probiotics beneficial to the gut.

Eat a high-fiber snack bar for your afternoon treat. There are many brands available at the market if you don't want to make your own.

High fiber parfaits are easy-to-assemble, beautiful, delicious and healthy:
