Hey guys! I was out of town this weekend and was hoping to come back to loula telling me she received the package, but I guess not!
We went to a really cute pumpkin farm with a hay ride, bounce houses, corn maze, pig races and a bunch of other littel things for the kids. DS had a blast and DH and I didn"t miond being there either LOL!
Anyone else doing any fall activities?

Jean, that sounds like you had a lovely time! When I have children of my own, I plan to go to places like that with them, too.
I enjoyed a nice stroll through the autumn leaves today with my sis. It was gorgeous outside and warm!
I hope youre not worrying about the parcel, Im sure customs has it and thats why it is taking so long. It has happened before, they sometimes suspect that there is alcohol or what not in the parcels labelled gifts and they like to open them and check before they send them on. Once my sis had to go there and pick up a christmas parcel from a friend and they had her open the packages! Im sure itll be here very soon!

I am worried about it I know there is nothing I can do and I did everything correctly, didn't send anything I shouldn't etc, but since the tracking info stopped updating when it left the US I haev no idea where it would be!
Having kids is a great excuse to go do stuff that you might be embarrassed to do as an adult without children! LOL

Don't worry Jean, Im positive itll arrive very soon and in great condition. You have done everything you can and now we'll just have to sit back and (in the spirit of the season) drink a hot cuppa and wait.
Ill post here and also email you as soon as I know more.

YAY, YAY, YAY!
My parcel is here and it was soooo worth the wait! I got so many wonderful fall and halloween themed things that I absolutely love. Jean, you are such a fantastic partner, thank you so much!
I was right, customs had the parcel as they thought it was commercial stuff and wanted me to present the invoice so that they could tax it. After unwrapping everything in front of them and telling them about this swap I managed to pry it off of their hands. lol
Here are pics of what I received:
Ive already used the candycorn to make this sinful concoction:http://cookiesandcups.com/homemade-butterfinger-bark/
and I plan on using the M&Ms to make monster cookies for Halloween.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, Jean!

Awesome package! We know all about them holding up packages huh Laura? I remember when I sent the xmas tree and all the little wrapped packages you had a bad time with customs then. I love your package the witch sure is cute.

Yes, exactly! The very same office this time around again. Not sure if it were the same people, too, cause last time my sis went to pick it up, but they are such a pain. I looked at Jean's forms and they clearly stated gift and all the items she sent, but they still insisted on me opening it. I just hope that now they now for good and I dont have to go there ever again. It is a trip of one hour each way to their offices...

I hate that for you. Is it the same customs office if I sent it to your parents address? Maybe should send to there address if less of a hassel? Oh, well I am sure you are happy when you finally get your package but I sure hate they do that to you especially when it shows a gift and is coming from a individual not a company that is why i am careful with that box I send your package in also. Have a great week .

That is just crazy! I don't see why anyone would order such random items from a company anyway.
I'm just glad you have it now, but I'm sorry you had to drive so far just to pick it up and had to open it in front of them!
