Just when it seemed like "Top Chef" couldn't possibly launch any more spin-offs or seasons, it has found a new iteration: the celebrity cruise. Hosted by Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons, Top Chef: The Cruise will set sail aboard the Celebrity Constellation ship on April 2013, according to a press release. The ship leaves from Miami and will head to Key West and then Cozumel, Mexico.

All sorts of chefs from past seasons will be aboard including Hubert Keller, Tim Love, Jennifer Carroll, Tiffany Derry, Chris Hanmer, Michael Isabella, Spike Mendelsohn, Hosea Rosenberg, Angelo Sosa and Casey Thompson. And yes -- there will be Quickfire challenges, among other culinary sessions such as cooking demonstrations and question-and-answer sessions.

Staterooms are available starting August 16 -- they range from $799 to $5,999.

I have to say, I get bored with all these shows. You get one, then every channel seems to repeat them, or the same channel does five different flavors of the show. Not just cooking, but all the talent shows and stuff. And things are clearly staged or at least coached.

I like cooking shows in general, I learn from them - but these ego challenge things irritate me.

Ditto, duonyte! I only like watching a food show while having dinner ... don't know why, but that seems the best time to watch other people making food!

Hate the many repeats and the endless food shows. I would never watch during the day.

Yeah, you get the idea in the first five minutes or so, don't you?

I suspect all famous chefs are on the arrogant side. That said, we like cruising and I think that these participating chefs would have interesting things to say. icon_smile.gif
