We are aware the Captcha can be a little hard to read and have requested the feature be more legible. In the interim, there is an option there for you to get a new word. To the right of the box where you type the words are three little icons. The top one is of two arrows making a circle. Click it to Get a New Challenge aka new words. The second is a picture of a megaphone to Get an Audio Challenge. And the circle with the question mark is for Help.

We also know it's hard to tell when the email has been sent because the page just refreshes, kind of implying you need to submit again. But, underneath the captcha in bold it will advise when it has been sent. It will say, Your message was successfully sent. You may go back to the page you were on or you may send e-mail to another friend(s). This has also been reported to be more apparent. If you get this message and your friend is still not receiving, have them check their SPAM/JUNK folder.
