    They'll Never Suspect...

    this chicken divan is low-fat:

    Chicken Broccoli Divan
    Makes 4 servings.
    4 C cooked (about 1 lb raw) broccoli florets, drained
    2 cooked chicken breast (about 2 C), chopped up
    1 (103⁄4 oz) can reduced fat condensed cream of chicken soup
    1⁄2 C skim milk
    1⁄4 tsp pepper
    1⁄4 C shredded, reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
    Cherry tomatoes for garnish

    Heat oven to 450 degrees.
    In a 2-quart shallow baking dish, arrange the broccoli and chicken pieces. In a small bowl, mix soup, milk and pepper and pour over broccoli and chicken. Sprinkle cheese all over.
    Bake 15 minutes or until hot.
    Garnish with cherry tomatoes.

    That recipes sounds awesome Molly....what I'd like to know are what are some of our readers favorite lowfat ingredients they sub in w/o letting the family know? Here are a few of mine that DH doesn't have any idea about: (mind you, these are low-fat...not no-fat icon_evil.gif ...ick)

    Lowfat Sourcream
    Lowfat Creamcheese
    Lowfat shredded cheeses including velvetta
    skim milk - although that's all I've ever bought, so he knows no difference
    1/2 fat icecream

    I'm beginning to see a trend here...they're all dairy.. icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

    Do any of you notice these types of low-fat ingredients effecting your recipes at all?
