That's amazing! I love the colors-did they have any info on the dyes or paints they used?

The colours were natural and focused on red, yellow, white, black and some blue.
I don't know what the sources were, but we came across a red dye today. More soon.
Have a horrible connection for the next few days.

Coming soon -- pics of my birthday party with Truck Olympics and another outlandish event -- dune buggies and sand-boarding in Peru. I wonder if I'll ever grow up?

In the meantime, I took some pics of the gold in the Company of Jesus Church in Quito. Stunning. This is the ceiling.

By the way, everything isn't gold and glitter. We've cooked and had bush camps in the desert.

We've been super busy since I last posted. Truck Olympics for my birthday.
Sandboarding. Stops in Cuenca, Lima, Cusco and a trek to Machu Picchu.
Here are a few pics. Lots more detail on my travel blog.

Fill a basin cup-by-cup from the ocean. Gotta love my outfit.

    Shooting down a sand dune.

Blue corn in the Mancora market.

Setting out on the Lares Trek to eventually reach Machu Picchu.

Sandboarding is a blast. The blue corn is amazing. As for the ocean-going cup, we had a team of about 7 and I suppose everyone had three goes to get the job done. But the time we finished, the cups were mostly filled with sand. icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm not lost—at least not yet, but we're going down the Cerro Rico mine
tomorrow. It was the biggest silver mine in the world.
In the meantime, we've been super busy. Here are some snippets.

A courtyard and cloister in the Convent of Santo Domingo, also in Lima.

Tunnel of surprises water fountain in Lima.

Pelicans on the Ballestas Islands in Peru.

Tried to load one of our trekking to see Macchu Picchu, but the connection
is just too weak to do anything but this small one.

Lots more to come and lots more on the blog. There's a link on my
    About Me page.

Gosh the time is flying by.
We had a great Halloween -- see the four chickens.

Went paragliding in Argentina. That's me at 1750 metres.

Saw treasures (such as huge gold earrings) at Larco Museum in Lima Peru.

and much more. Only two months left now.
