    Hello All,

I am making cut out cookies and chocolate chippers for a wedding this weekend. The bride has celiac. I would like to make the cookies GF but not at the risk of them falling apart. I don't have time to do a trial run. I found a betty crocker and land o lakes cut out cookie recipes. I also found a chocolate chip recipe on gluten free goddess.

Is it worth trying these out? Or is it too much risk that they won't look nice? I should mention that I don't think the bride will care too much one way or the other - I will obviously tell her whether or not they are GF.

    Thanks for any input.

I can't speak to the other sites' recipes, but one would think you'd be fine with the Betty Crocker and Land o'Lakes recipes.

I can recommend Gluten Free Awesome Chocolate Chip Cookies, Alton Brown - Chewy Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate-Cinnamon Meringues
and Gluten Free Dutch Sugar Cookies as having been tried and highly rated by some of the best cooks on the site.

We can't get those mixes in Australia

My favourite cut-out cookie on this site is Gingerbread Cookies (Gluten Free). This is such a terrific cookie and holds it's shape well. I'm guessing that if you dont have golden syrup, you could substitute honey with a small amount of treacle. Or you could use honey and replace the ginger with cinnamon or cardamon for a nice variation
