    School Lunches

    Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for items to put into school lunches? My 7yr old son is a little on the picky side (no salads) and he has no access to a microwave. I'm going to make a trail mix (gorp) this weekend to keep on hand--I'm sure he'll like that. I'm going to try kebabs (toothpicks) with fruit, meat, and cheese.

After reading articles online, eating the school lunch provided just doesn't seem appealing.

    Thanks!

Actually when I was in school, I loved the lunches. Probably because alot of our food growing up came from food pantries, idk.

Anyways, my daughter started school this year and has only brought her lunch twice. She prefers to eat school lunches. She has 3 items to choose from each day and we go over it before she goes to school and as soon as she gets off the bus that is the first question I ask is "Whta was lunch today?" and she gets so excited. Her favorites are chicken nugges, meatball sandwich, pizza bagels, and riblet sandwiches.

So maybe let your child try lunch at school and maybe they will be more open minded and will try more things and might actually like it.
