100+ players are traveling the world for 7 weeks on the whirlwind Zaar World Tour 8. Please come check out our recipes, see the places we've been and what we have learned. icon_smile.gif

Our families supported us on our adventure & as things wind down we'd like to acknowledge their support. This round turns the control of cuisine over to your family. Are they ready to pay one last visit to Mexico or would they prefer another taste of Australia? Maybe they couldn't get enough curry or need just one more quiche. Make your family happy and give them our thanks for participating in our culinary adventure. icon_smile.gif

While participation in this Special round is not required, each player may prepare as few or as many recipes as desired from any of the six ZWT8 cookbooks listed below. After completing at least one Family Pick recipe players may participate in other challenges and/or Zingo if desired. Extra cooking for Family Picks will be used to select the Team 15 list.

    ZWT8 All Players Cookbook ~ Australian/New Zealand
ZWT8 All Players Cookbook ~ France
ZWT8 All Players Cookbook ~ Great Britain
ZWT8 All Players Cookbook ~ India
    ZWT8 All Players Cookbook ~ Spain/Portugal
    ZWT8 All Players Cookbook ~ U.S. Southwest/Tex-Mex

Please post your Family Pick reviews, photos, picks, etc, in this thread. Happy Cooking!

For the Family Picks, I made and enjoyed: Southern Living Salsa #328505 by cookingpompom. It was a lovely appetizer and will be made again for sure. Much better than the salsa you get in the supermarkets here.

Question for Susie D - I see that a lot of chefs are taking care to include the source cookbook as part of their posts, but I ck'd & didn't see that mentioned in the intro/rules. The source will be clear for a lot of the recipes, but not for others. Are we supposed to be doing that when we post a completion here for Family Picks icon_question.gif

As our Family Pick, this is an "encore" of sorts. I had previously made AlainaF's version in Round 2 of ZWT play, now this is Elmotoo's version of Champurrado (Chocolate Atole) #139211. Double Yum!!!

Not necessary, but it is more than okay to do so. It might help someone else know which cookbook to look inside if they were interested in the same recipe. So much good food left to try and so little time! icon_cool.gif
