    Robert Irvine, wedding?

Anyone planning on watching Robert's wedding tonight? I can't find Robert's bio that was put on here when this forum first opened. I know it was here because I did it, wanted to post in that. He has had so many ups and downs, with being called a fraud, and that might be why his bio is no longer on here, but whatever he is I can't wait to watch the wedding tonight.

Unfortunately we don't get it here in Australia or do you know if it is on line. Will also try and find his bio for you, for I can see no reason why it would have been removed unless by accident.

Jacqueline, here is the link to the thread, so you can place your update there is you wish. Also in the forum one of the groups has chosen Robert Irvine as their chef and will be writing up about him which may also interest you.

I didn't know it was going to be on TV. The current issue of the Food Network magazine has an article about the wedding.

I couldn't care less. These "celebs" have been literally CREATED by Scripps. Their time will fade as will their "personas". It can't happen soon enough! That time can't come soon enough, and we can get back to "cooking", "sharing", AND not bombarded by commercialism(commercials). Though some things are coming good out of all this, I have seen none of these chefs even hint at "survival", and that's what we are looking straight down the barrel at. Paula Deen will be oh, so unpopular... and I used to love her.

I watched the show. It was good. The main thing I came away with from the show is that Robert Irvine seems like an absolute control freak. OMG, just the stuff they showed of him during the 1 hr. drove me crazy. None the less, I wish them both tons of happiness together. icon_biggrin.gif

Scripps didn't create Robert Irvine. Dinner Impossible was based on his life experiences. I truly admire him.

I like him too.....(I agree, he is very particular and likes to be in control), but he is also a softie with a big heart. I am happy for him and his new wife to have a wonderful future together.
He's been through some hard times........maybe he is a bit defensive but he uses it to help others who need to "get real" too. I just have to admire how he has overcome some of the bad publicity and did not give up.

Pat, thanks for the link. I almost always enjoy Robert and there are a few other chefs I enjoy watching. I do not think they are going to be a here today, gone tomorrow sort of thing. I think Scripps was very smart to have started this network.

I must say that I spend most of my TV time watching Food Network and HGTV. Now HGTV needs to go off the air for a while, they have cost me way too much money. icon_smile.gif I would love it if they took off Diners, Driver-ins and Dives, I am sick of that show. There are a few more that I don't like to watch, but for the most part that is the only one, oh an Sandra Lee, that I refuse to watch. My new favorite is The Pioneer Woman. Love that show.
