Not disputing the motherly love aspect but isn't this the same vid that was going around a few months ago where the * head owners had tossed the puppy in to the pool and then recorded the show?

No way that puppy jumped out that far by itself and that stupid woman cheering the dog on while taking the video makes me want to hurt her.

Sure - terrify a puppy and go viral.

Maybe. I don't know. I saw it on FB via an ABC news video a few days ago. I see the date of the video date is April 12, 2012 which I didn't notice at the time I posted ; so you are probably right. I'll Snopes verify everything from now on.

No need to verify with Snopes. It is a really cute video and I believe totally that the mother jumped in to get her puppy.

I just remembered that the first time I saw it that there were comments about the puppy being tossed in. I must have replayed that clip 50 times to see if it could have jumped. It couldn't unless it had been a 'dock dog' in the womb icon_smile.gif

It is a wonderful demonstration of motherly love. At least the puppy's mother. I think the owners a tad misguided but that is just me. Some people put elastic band around a dogs mouth and laugh watching the dog try to remove it. I have no sense of humour. icon_lol.gif

I, um, have been known to put a piece of scotch tape on a cat's tail and watched it trying to get it off. icon_redface.gif

That was a long time ago, and a very good-natured cat, though. Minerva Kitty wouldn't put up with that for one minute, I'm pretty sure.
