Great minds think alike! We grilled yesterday as well; however, DH had already cleaned the outdoor grill and gave away the propane tank so we grilled on the George Foreman.
Best Steak Marinade by Lavender Lynn
I made Green Beans Almondine by Karen From Colorado and Herbed Corn on the Cob by Dreamgoddess.
My freezer is almost empty and perishable items are getting low; however, non-perishables are still around. I spent yesterday sealing up lentils, various flours, grains, etc. Now I have a ton of clean containers waiting to be refilled. Packing is a pain!

Isn't it strange how much easier *un*packing is?!?
So now you're on the count-down I guess.

The countdown, the good byes, etc. BTW, we will be turning in our router and terminating our cable service here on Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest. The new connection is scheduled to be established on the 21st. So if I disappear you will know why.

Oh Paula, my heart does go out to you! I know you are going through such a difficult time, even knowing the end is in sight. I don't know about you, (my kitchen stuff is half packed away) but I can't find any spoons, I am about ready to go and get some plastic stuff
Your foods sound lovely!! I am like you, trying to use it all up.

Thank you Andi. My house is filled with boxes just like in your photo. I am starting to get a little anxious. Wishing we were already there and moving in day was tomorrow.

One last review before I head into the land of very limited internet service.
I have made and enjoyed Londoner's Egg Sandwich, #426261 by JanuaryBride.
The packers are coming this morning and sometime today DH will take the router and turn in it. I will be able to check in periodically on my phone but that's about it until a week from today. Wish me luck!

Oh dear Paula, you might not see this until later, but you take good care and may the road be open to treating you well, and you arrive safely. HUGS from the farm!

Yum, coq au vin!
Today's my best friend's 65th birthday, he's going to party today and tomorrow. Will make some gf brownies this morning for him, he's celiac, too. The recipe I use is Flax Seed Brownies #373494 which I've made previously, it's fantastic.

Hi Andi
You must be busy as a whole bee hive! End of summer - lots of harvesting I guess - your kitchen and preparing the wedding. Wow. Hard to imagine how you manage everything. Is it still that hot in your area?
Now here the heat kicked in, we had unbelievable 96 F yesterday! That won't last long, but still, finally a real taste of summer
The birthday party was fun, my friend's girlfriend had made him a black forest cherry tart, a real one which looked gorgeous. We thought it was made by a confectioner, but she made it herself!
Paula, we miss you indeed. Hope everything goes well and smoothly!
