I am a big fan of Slow cookers and mine just died. I din't shed too many tears because it was the worst I have ever had; it was written original Crockpot. Would love to get your input as to the best. Thanks,

A lot depends on what size you want/need and how much money you are willing to spend. Some are multi-purpose also. Personally I prefer the Hamilton Beach 3-in-1 Slow Cooker which gives convenient flexibility on the size of the pot.

I also have a NESCO Electric Pressure Cooker than also doubles as a Slow Cooker, which is pretty cool.

I bought the Hamilton Beach 3-in-1 Slow Cooker for the size flexibility ~ so far, so good! I bought mine from Amazon, but it only ships within the US!

I did see it in Amazon.ca, but they charge $30.00 shipping, so looking closer to home.

If you are in Canada can I suggest the Presidents choice slow cooker. I got mine a year ago. It's fully programable. So i can set it to automatically set from cook to keep warm at a certain time. it has three temperatures as well as a keep warm setting. it has a very nice ceramic insert that goes right into the dishwasher. and best part is it is between 39-49 dollars. a large independent or loblaws should carry it.
    it won't disappoint you.
