I am preparing to make Raspberry Sherbet and one of the ingredients is raspberries in syrup. The closest thing I have been able to find is raspberry pie filling. Any thoughts on what raspberries in syrup might actually be or where I could possibly find some? It seemed like a simple ingredient but I haven't been able to find anything on the shelves in our grocery store or in the freezer section. Can't find any recipe on the Food.com site to make this ingredient either.

I use either fresh raspberries or frozen raspberries for making sherbet. Personally, I wouldn't use pie filling (too thick/gloppy). You might find syrup packed raspberries with the canned fruits, although not all supermarkets carry them.
