Have you ever thought about actually decorating your table? ok there is not upcoming holiday your table sits "naked" maybe you are like me and you have a doily or place mat of some sort in the middle with something on it, like a flower arrangement.

Think outside the box it is always easy to with a theme and if you elaborate on "theme" why not do a yr round setting?

We have our regular holidays and usually the day off we set the table. Last year I felt inspired to decorate and set my table for longer and do it earlier than the actual holiday.

I was so please to see my table set up with yes non other that my BEST china !! I placed the settings down and place mats incl. napkins and napkin ring holders. It was such a breath of fresh air !!

It is easy to go with a theme, why not set up regular "everyday" theme with something you could just sit down and really enjoy a meal or company? We all set our tables for Christmas and Thanksgiving right?

Well why not change the colors and set up a Valentines theme, St. Patricks Day? Easter etc.... it adds life to the room and looks gorgeous !!

Stay tuned because I plan on setting my table for an everyday kind of setting.

I encourage you to look at your table and see if you can move some of that stuff on there that has become a :holder"/storage for all things, and breath life into it and make it pretty !!!

I also encourage you to post ideas and pictures and inspire all of us !!

PS. I know this falls also under the cat/forum of decorating but it ties in with our forum also icon_smile.gif

I would love nothing more than to decorate my table year round. I have a beautiful fall theme right now.

My problem is that DH thinks the table is his own personal storage space. It is a huge ongoing battle that I am steadily losing icon_sad.gif

If you have any ideas how to keep is junk off of there for good?!
