My two winners were

The chicken-avocado recipe was so good that I licked the cooking pan clean....reminding me of all the cake and cookie batter bowls I "cleaned" as a kid. I would have never thought an entree would inspire that kind of "every last drop" behavior.

I was so impressed with the chicken-tarragon recipe that I ordered the cookbook, thus creating a new memory: the thrill of getting that cookbook in my hand. That's the only time one recipe has inspired me to get the entire cookbook.

It is really difficult, isn't it?

I think that's the thing I love most about the Tour: every time, I discover at least one and sometime several recipes that are just incredible. And I would not have made them w/o the Tour.

My Best of ZWT 8 post

(Yes I put in the banner!)

This was a tough choice as we had 4 really strong contenders, the salmon was simple and so flavorful, I told several friends and coworkers about this wonderful dish. As I said in my review - it's a party in your mouth We love mussels and this version with the sausage and tomatoes was different and delicious!

Some favorite memories - having an impromptu Tapas party with our son, his fiance and a friend who came over to learn how to change the head gasket on her car . I was making up for not having much cooking time during the week and made five dishes in a couple of hours. The hit of the party almost beat out the mussels for a top 2 spot Peach and Roasted Red Pepper Bruschetta #213758 by Leslie

The other thing I will take away from this tour has been getting to know my first mate IngridH better. We've spent quite a lot of time on the phone dealing with end of the rounds stuff and team matters, and have learned quite a lot about each other. She's been a lifesaver with keeping track of the all the recipes that were made and I don't think I would have survived the tour w/o her. Best of all we only live about 30 minutes from each other so I'm hoping we'll be able to enjoy a couple of real cocktails sometime soon in Seattle! Cheers, Ingrid!
