Wow - 65 recipes...that is impressive!
Here is what I posted!
My silver medal goes to Baked Shrimp With Tomatillos #483792 by CJAY:
It was amazing the first time and just as good scrambled with eggs in the morning!
The gold goes to Sunset Orzo With Spanish Shrimp #363237 by Boomette
DEElish!
When I look back on this World Tour, I'll most remember the three days stuck at home because of Tropical Storm Isaac. I have been through a few hurricanes where the power was shut off and I lost a small fortune of food in the refrigerator and freezer....needless to say, I am gun-shy about spending money when a hurricane might be coming through and having to lose it all. It was not recommended to leave the house so I was in the house three days straight, tortured by constant reading of my Food.com recipe print-outs. We had to order pizza and other take-out. I couldn't wait to get back to good food from the tour!

Here's what I posted in Best of:
This tour has been so much fun for me in many different ways. I love trying new dishes from other countries and cultures, and I enjoyed meeting everyone in my group and getting to know each other more. It was hard to pick just 2 favorites, my husbands favorites were the Ovos No Forno Com Queijo (Individual Baked Eggs With Cheese) by Random Rachel, and the Chickpea Burgers by katew. Even though I loved those and thought they were fantastic, the two that stuck out the most to me were:
Mexican Ice Cream Sundaes With Cinnamon Chocolate Sauce #235018 by Lainey6605
Shepherd's Vegetable Pie #484474 by Starrynews
The mexican sundaes were amazing, they combined my favorite flavors; cinnamon, chocolate, ice cream and coconut. The result was an outstanding dessert that I crave now, and can't wait to make again! The shepherds vegetable pie just felt like home for me, since my grandma always used to make shepherds pie for my family when I was younger. The crumbles combined with the brown gravy, peas and onions, then topped with homemade mashed potatoes and cheese was comforting at best. Loved it and want to make it again.
My favorite memory from ZWT8 would have to be the Go Wild Challenge. I loved having my 1 year old son help draw a picture of a Brown Kiwi with me, and he loved it too! That was a busy week for me, and although I only had time to make one dish from Australia that round, I enjoyed it tremendously and wish I could've made more Australian dishes.
A special thanks to my teammates Captain Mikekey, who patiently helped me out a couple times, Cookbook guru JackieOhNo! who was understanding when I missed the deadline to turn in my cookbooks for Round 2, First Mate Charmie777, CJAY, Random Rachel, FLKeysJen, ElleFirebrand and Jostlori--all of your dishes looked amazing and all of you did such a terrific job not only with your completions but also with the challenges, cookbooks and team spirit!!! This has been a fun journey for me and I can't wait to enter into the next ZWT!!!!

I have finished the scoring report. It is on page one. If you feel like looking it over, please do and let me know if I missed anything. It was a particularly
complicated one this round. Over two hours to complete it. I don't know why, but it seems this year wasn't as fun as in the past. Too much going on and hard to keep track.
Anyway, thanks to all of you for being great team mates. I will be back home Friday in time to do the Best of report.

Ahh. I see what I did. Someone else reported a blueberry cake at the same time. I used the same number both times.
I'll update the scores.
On pg 7

Upon signing in today, my inbox said I have 101 messages!!!!
After months of it saying my mailbox is empty. Food.com shenanigans!!!!
I will try my best to get to them as I can...I've been sick with a sinus infection the past few days
All these food.com site changes are driving me cuckoo!!!

You have been a wonderful captain!
I didn't play the last couple years but it does seem like lots of work for points that are determined by chance. Maybe you could suggest that next year we just each cook a set number of recipes, and take turns spinning a roulette wheel.
