ZWT8 All Players Cookbook ~ India
India has always been exalted as the country of colors. To an outsider, its colorful culture, streets, and stories seem like a page out of an ancient folk tale. But color is a large part of Indian life. From the deep orange marigold flowers that bejewel almost every celebration to the deep hues of red that deck up the bride on her most important day, color in India has, over time, become an expression of faith and beliefs. In a country as diverse and culturally vibrant as India, it is perhaps the common, simple expressions of color that hold together the multitudes of outlooks, lifestyles, and traditions.
Your Challenge:
Use some of the vibrant colors of India to take part in our version of the white plate challenge. Draw your inspiration from any aspect of India whether it be culture, art, clothing, or even your favorite Bollywood movie. Select one or more colors, a white dish (plate, bowl, cup, etc. ), and design a place setting for one or more. (No food required.) Experiment and play as you add bright to our day!
Please remember to:
~ Post your photo in this thread. Tell us a little about your inspiration & what you did to style your colorful photo.
~ Include your team name and banner.

Yes. We want to see what everyone can do by adding color. Basic white provides everyone the same starting point. The object is the colorful setting.
Something like a subtle gold ring or so would be fine. If nothing else use a white paper plate or check out a thrift store for a single dish.

Can we computer-generate the art on a photo of the dishes or does it have to be drawn on an actual place setting?
Also, the challenge says, "Select one or more colors, a white dish (plate, bowl, cup, etc.), and design a place setting for one or more. (No food required.) Experiment and play as you add bright to our day!"
So can we do A dish or it has to be a whole place setting?
Thanks!

Question: is this challenge is to use at least one white dish and with other colorful dishes and accessories to set the table; or to buy one white dish and decorate it (the actual dish) with vibrant colors? I assumed it was to set a place setting, but reading the other posts has me confused

It can be a single white dish or a whole table full.
I'm not sure what you mean by computer generated art. <confused>
The intent is to be inspired by the Colors of India and use what's on hand to illustrate your idea. It can be as simple as adding place mats, fabric, napkins, trinkets, magazine photos, whatever. We just want to see the India in your pretty colors.

Use a single white plate, bowl, or cup and decorate around it. Look for something from India to inspire your creativity & what's on hand to illustrate the idea. I selected a white dish so we could all see the magic of creativity even though we all are starting with a basic white dish.
The challenge does NOT require you to buy anything!
