Ahoy captains! This is the spot for our hard working captains to find a quick response to a question, turn in your team's score reports, and find the latest information needed to keep your team on track. Find yourself a hammock & get cozy. You'll have to swab the deck later.

Deadlines
Firm deadlines are in place for ZWT8. This is intended to help captain's obtain needed information from players as well as providing your Tour Hosts timely info in order to complete scoring.

There are three deadlines in place:
1) Player Deadline: All players must have their posts in the proper threads AND the team thread by the 11:59pm deadline. (Do notice the lone 5pm deadline exception.) Nothing posted after this time may be accepted and/or included on the team scorecard.
2) Captain's Workspace Deadline: This deadline is for the captain (or whomever is editing the team scorecard.) All choices for the Team 15, selections from the Gift Shop, and completion of all challenges must be in place. NO changes are allowed to a workspace after the 11:59pm deadline.
The list of SI's & Lucky Pryamid Lotto will be posted on pg 1 of this thread after the workspace deadline.
3) Scoring Report Deadline: A scoring report form will be posted at the end of each round in the designated box below. Captains will use this form to turn in the team's points. Streamlining the reports should make the scoring process easier for all.

Scoring:
Several opportunities are offered to score extra points for teams.
1) Secret Ingredients are preselected and a list will be posted for each region on the Tour. The ingredient must appear on the recipe's ingredient list exactly as it appears on the SI list. IOW close doesn't count, nor do mentions in reviews, mentions in the introduction, or items in photos. If the ingredient is excluded in the review (not used) it will not score the bonus.
2) Lucky Pyramid Lotto will be posted at the end of each round with 8 numbers containing various two to four digits.

Each set of digits scores different point values. If any of the numbers is in any of the recipes included on the Team 15 points are earned. The number may be in any position of the recipe number, but only used once per recipe number. For example if one of the numbers was 15, points could be scored for all of the following; 15467, 415891, 34615, while 153015 could only be scored once.
The numbers may not overlap. There is no longer a line bonus.
3) ZWT8 Gift Shop
Everyone loves a surprise! All cooking done by your handy dandy Tour Guides is placed into the Gift Shop. The Gift Shop will open at the end of Rounds 1 and 2 and 3. Teams will make up to 5 selections of "gifts" from our shop. Gifts qualify for bonus scoring with SI & pyramid points OR if the guide completed the challenge your team may use a gift to complete a challenge. The choice of gifts will be yours and may be used according to your team's strategy.
4) Hidden "Key" Bonuses
Hidden "keys" are predetermined and require no extra work by teams. Several hidden bonuses are included in various activities. These will be announced in time for scoring at the conclusion of the round.

Turning in a Score Report

A) A completed score report is due before the deadline from each team.
B) The Score Report should be posted in a special Score Report thread each round. No edits are permitted after posting! Guides copy the reports and might miss slight changes. If a change must be made BEFORE the deadline, please repost the entire Score Report.
Please submit your scoring info in the EXACT order and format provided.
Please do NOT add extra graphics, dividers, fonts, etc other than your team banner.

Scoring Info for Bonus Round




As Family Picks revisits prior cookbooks Secret Ingredients will be played a little differently this round. We're going to be looking for similarity among the cuisines. Doesn't that sound FUN?
In order to score points the ingredients must EXACTLY match as listed here. Close doesn't count here. EXACT matches only!

Do FOUR or more recipes in the Team 15 include fresh or canned whole tomatoes? Yay! Add 10 points
Do FOUR or more recipes in the Team 15 include garlic cloves or garlic powder? Yay! Add 8 points
Do THREE or more recipes in the Team 15 include honey? Yay! Add 7 points
Do THREE or more recipes in the Team 15 include a fish filet? Yay! Add 6 points
Do TWO or more recipes in the Team 15 include broccoli? Yay! Add 5 points
Do TWO or more recipes in the Team 15 include cinnamon? Yay! Add 5 points
Do THREE or more recipes in the Team 15 have NO salt listed? Yay! Add 5 points











Sandwich Olympics Bonus

Sandwiches are popular worldwide & can now be found almost everywhere. Both the lowly or very gourmet sandwich has English roots & this year saw Great Britain host the Olympic games. We're going to pair the two & have a relay! Who doesn't love a sandwich?!
Look back to see if your team earned points on the Sandwich Olympics.
This bonus utilizes all of the previous region's Team 15 selections. Note.... no additional lotto points. LOL

Score Report Form for the Bonus round

Ahoy Captains!

NEW this Tour is the Scoring Report. All teams will use this form to report scoring. We hope having a standard report form makes this task easier for you AND your cross eyed Tour Guides.

Please do NOT change the layout or make it all pretty with happy faces, butterflies, & cute puppies. Wading thru all of the graphic codes confuses things (and did I mention the cross eyed Tour Guides?). The only graphic to be added is your TEAM BANNER.

What to do:
~Copy the coding and paste it into the appropriate box on pg 1 of your team thread.
~Add all of the info for points for your team.
~Copy & paste into the Scoring report Thread before the Aug 3rd deadline. We will then move the entire thread to be scored.
~Questions here..... Score Reports ONLY there.
