    Nif, hope it's okay if I try this with ground turkey and chicken broth! If not, let me know and I can look for another recipe. My DD will be home this weekend and this soup looks perfect (except my DD doesn't eat red meat these days).

    I welcome changes! I do feel sorry for someone whose entire recipe gets changed, they cook it totally differently than directed and then give 1 star! icon_eek.gif When a meatloaf recipe is somehow turned into a deep fried dessert, that's a little different! rotfl.gif rotfl.gif

    I was considering deep frying the turkey and veggies before adding to the crockpot. What do ya think? icon_lol.gif Thanks...heading to the store this morning so we can have this for lunch while watching some football!
    P.S. I never rate lower if I make big changes to a recipe. It's a pet peeve of mine.. icon_lol.gif

    not always i just made the baked beans yesterday , mr picky like breakfast every morning so i stalk a recipe almost every morning lol
