They just opened one north of the river in KC....but since I'm on this diet and don't eat...I haven't tried it yet...

Sometimes I like Thai more than Japanese. My family has been up to Omaha a couple of times. I hear it's quite nice.

Kansas Farmer! You are so close! Finally someone near to me. I was beginning to get a little lonely here in the middle all by myself. You are going to love this place. The best recipes, food swaps, and people that you will EVER meet!
It looks like bunches of people are getting together...is this group going to be meeting too?
Kansas, it would be great to meet sometime....

Shawna: Haven't seen many Kansans on here or any where else. I still have lots to learn about these bbs. Local bank has day bus trips during the summer and I usually manage to go on them. One stipulation is that if the bus route goes anywhere near Abilene we have to stop at Russell Stovers. They even opened early for us one trip. Would be good to find some more Kansans on here.

Russell Stover's is great. I only allow myself 2 times a year to go out there because I could buy the store....admitted chocoholic here!!! It is great to see some Kansas people here! I am hoping that all of us in the Nebraska/Iowa/Kansas/Missouri area will get a chance to get together and meet. My husband loves the fact that I have found this place. Not only is inspiration for dinner easier to come up with-He loves the food swaps as much as I do. The days we get the boxes are like party days here. My kids love them too. It is a good way to get them to try new things. All I have to do is say the food came from a food swap and they are eager to give it a try. You might want to look up the food swap to try. It looks like they are trying to get another one going at the end of September/beginning October (doing it after school expense time means more people can participate)!

We have two places in Omaha that have good Thai and Sushi, one I have tried and the other I am afraid too, lol. Thai Spice is wonderful, can't get enough of that place and then for Sushi there is Sushi Ichiban but I haven't tried that although I have heard good things about it. I can't do the raw fish thing even as much as I love seafood. Sly Girl, have you tried that place?

Nope I haven't tryed either of those places. I'm not a big fish eater, and definately a big NO if it's raw.

I live in Belton, MO. 20 minutes away from downtown KC. More then willing to let a few people crash on the spare couches here if a food meet does happen.
BTW, what is a food swap?
