Summer is here! I am in Texas and today the heat index is in the triple digits! Yuck!

One of the best ways to cool off I find is with an ice cold BEVERAGE! Whether it is a refreshing glass of iced tea, a frosty mug of beer or an ice cold lemonade, these drinks can really cool you down when the temps go up!

Here are some of my favorite bevy's!

    Freezer Margarita

    Sweet Iced Tea

    Lemonade

Refreshing Mojito by the Pitcher Mojitos

    What are some of yours??

Number one is a Gin and Tonic with a slice of lime and a fresh sprig of mint.

    Apple Pie (Spirits) chilled

    Swampwater ( Spirits )

Mexican Monster ( Spirits ) the water mentioned should be seltzer water, one of the changes that happened when recipes transfered to here.

Bust My Cherry ( Spirits ) real good

    Beefeaters Tea ( Spirits )

    Vestial Virgin ( Spirits )

Yes they are all my recipes, why else would they be my favorites!?

Oh and I forgot... The #1 go to thirst quencher around this household is Sun Tea. We always have a gallon or 2 in the fridge and a gallon or 2 brewing on the deck. Currently brewing 1 gallon of regular tea and 1 gallon of green tea.

    The Beer Buster !
This came from Apartment Life Magazine in the early to mid '70's

Place 1 1/2 oz gin in the bottom of a frosted beer mug.
Add 4 dashes of tobasco sauce.
    Pour in beer slowly.
    Drink.

This drink seems to give you energy in the summer heat, ask my wife I chase her around the house after consuming two of these LOL ! icon_eek.gif icon_lol.gif
