Zaar World Tour 8 ~ Official Rules ~
Teams~
Players are randomly sorted into teams and will include at least one volunteer for captain, first mate, & cookbook guru. Each team votes to decide on a team name and icon, and selects team leadership.. Once the captain is selected she/ he will be provided with instructions on how to set up a new team thread & scorecards by zmail. The team will then move to their new home & the planning threads are locked.
How to Play:
The objective is to score enough points to be the winning team at the end of the Tour. Points are scored in the following manner:
1) Players Required Regional Recipe~ 15 points per region
2) Forum Challenges~ 3 per region
3) Hidden Challenge Bonuses
4) ZWT8 Guide Gift Store
5) Team 15~ provides a chance to add bonus points for each region visited. Each team selects the 15 recipes they feel might score points. These can be made by any player on the team. The announcement of criteria for bonus points will be announced at the close of a region in the
Captain's Corner .
XXXXXXA) Secret Ingredients: A list of secret ingredients for each region has been preselected. If one of those ingredients is a listed ingredient in any recipe it scores 5 points for the team. The ingredient must be
exactly as stated and on the ingredient list. Review mentions, nor photos, no longer score SI points. Recipe ingredient list ONLY!!!
XXXXXXB) Number Lotto Pyramid: A pyramid card will be posted at the end of each round with 8 numbers containing various two to four digits. Each set of digits scores different point values. If any of the numbers is in any of the recipes included on the Team 15, points are earned. The number may be in any position of the recipe number, but only used once per recipe number. For example if one of the numbers was 15, points could be scored for all of the following;
15467, 4
15891, 346
15, while
1530
15 could only be scored once.
The numbers may not overlap.

~ All regions close at 11:59pm eastern on the last day. All players reports must be posted in the team thread by that time. The team captain then has a set time period to update the team workspace and a firm deadline is in place for posting the score report in the Captain's Corner. More details on scoring & reporting deadlines will be found in the
Captain's Corner.
RECIPES & COOKBOOKS:
In order to help players have time to share their recipes we are announcing the regions at the beginning of the Tour. The regions we will be visiting are:
Australia/new Zealand, Great Britain, France, India, Mexico/US Southwest/Tex-Mex, and Spain/Portugal.
~Players may post recipes to their account anytime prior to a region.
As you post recipes and later submit for cookbooks please keep in mind that on the Tour we are looking for recipes representing the region. Please note that the more
authentic the recipe or recipes made with ingredients typical to that cuisine to the regions, the more likely it will earn bonus points. Each player may contribute
0-15 recipes for each region. Remember, recipes may only be shared in ONE regional cookbook.
PLEASE take care to not add duplicate recipes to the database!
~Cookbook gathering will take place during specified times and firm deadlines are in place. All recipes
must be public before the deadline so please allow enough time for them to make it thru the sites queue. Few recipes are published on weekends.
~Cookbook gurus also have firm deadlines for turning in the team's recipes at the
ZWT8 Cookbook Collection Depot. No collecting of team recipes should be done ahead!
~If a recipe is rejected in the Cookbook Depot that recipe must be removed from the team's cookbook. Once a deadline is past no additional recipes will be added to the cookbooks.
~Only recipes in the All Player Cookbooks may be used during the ZWT.
REVIEWS & POSTING:
~Points will only be scored for recipes that are made and reviewed during the current round. Cooking ahead and early reviews are prohibited and cannot be used to score points.
~The honor code is in place here; please do not post reviews for recipes you did not make. Cheating only spoils the integrity of the game and upsets others. If you suspect cheating, please zmail one of the hosts privately; accusations are not welcome in the forums.
~Once you have made and reviewed a recipe, post the recipe in the Welcome to.... thread OR the appropriate challenge thread. Then post in your team thread so that the captain can update the team's scorecard.
