Going walleye fishing tomorrow so I made a couple Honey Whole Wheat hoagie rolls for sandwiches on the boat. Looks like the yeast went crazy on the sandwich loaf in this warm weather. Gonna have to cut back the rise times so that doesn't happen again. Taking the loaf to a friend today, as there's already bread in the freezer. He'll be surprised.

I love homemade rolls, they make any sandwich so much better.

Well gave in and did some baking. With some help from my girls (they dumped in ingredients), we made Chocolate Chip Cookies. We used 1 cup unbleached flour and 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour.

I love cooking with kids. Last night, my 8 year old grandson came in carrying a rolling pin and said he wanted to make his mom some pizza dough; so we did.

I love cooking with kids too; have my 6 yr.old nephew visiting with my sister and we've several recipes scheduled to try - he's a cinnamon lover, so anything with cinnamon does the trick.

I love cooking with kids too and am so pleased my own children have grown up loving to cook. They're thieves too. icon_rolleyes.gif We're staying in Sydney with a daughter who moved there recently. Fascinating to see how many of my pots and pans have made it to her place. She made a loaf cake on Saturday for a picnic.
Me: 'Is that one of my loaf pans?'.
    Her: Blush, 'er yes.'
Me: 'Do you have its mate?'
    Her: Blush again, 'er yes.'
Me: Oh good, at least I can stop looking for them. icon_smile.gif
I'll have another shake-down today before we head back to Canberra. I really don't care how much stuff she hauls away, as long as I know which stuff. And it would be nice if any of them started producing children. I need more playmates in the kitchen.

Go ahead and laugh. I saw two springform pans I'm sure I 'owned',
but she stored them so high up I only caught a glimpse of them. She
still has them -- lucky girl.

A friend that took home leftovers said that she didn't have our container when I asked her about it.

We were watching their cats soon after. I looked and found two of the same container. Ours and someone else's.

My wife made her a birthday cake soon after. She wrote "you get a piece when we get our container back" on the cake.
