Backstory: I had made my MIL a rainbow block granny square afghan years ago. Of course it got destroyed in the fire.
I am going to make her another one as a surprise to replace it. The last one I made was solid color blocks for example one all red block, one all orange block etc. I had them in a diagonal rainbow patter when I sewed them together.
I was thinking for this one of doing granny squares again BUT I was going to make each block rainbow. What I would like opinions on is should I make all the block with the same rainbow pattern (red in the center, then an orange ring, a yellow ring, a green ring, a blue ring and finish with a purple ring) OR should I do each block in a staggered pattern ( the first block with a red center and such but then the next with an orange center and ending with a red ring on the outside and the next a yellow center and ending with an orange ring on the outside etc.) ?
I'm not sure of how I want to do it yet.
Any thoughts?
