I promised to make a cake every week for the church bingo games. I have made several different kinds now, but I feel I am in a rut now. It doesn't have to be cake it can be a dessert etc. I prefer not to make something that needs to be refrigerated since they get the desserts ready the night before. Plus I don't think they would have room in the fridge. They sell the piece of cakes/desserts for $1 each and the ladies that go to bingo love them, I was told they will buy extras to take home with them. So if any of you have a easy cake or dessert recipe I can whip up, and would share I would so appreciate it! Thanks. Paula

Peanut Butter Cookie and Chocolate Layered Bundt Cake
1/2 roll refrigerated peanut butter cookie dough
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 Tbsp butter or margarine
1 package yellow cake mix
1 cup water
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
3 eggs
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Slice cookie dough into 1/8 inch thick slices.
Press on bottom and sides of tube pan, making
sure there are no areas that are not covered with
cookie dough.
In small saucepan, combine chocolate chips and butter
over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate melts.
Spoon over cookie dough, spreading lightly up sides.
In large bowl, blend remaining ingredients at low speed
until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at high speed.
Pour into tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes
or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool upright 10 minutes.
Invert onto wire rack and cool.

Cranberry Pake (Pie+Cake)
Crust: Prepare your favorite pie crust to fit a 9-inch pie pan. Place in pan, flute edges, and leave unbaked.
Cranberry Layer:
2 cups fresh whole cranberries, rinsed and drained **
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Mix all ingredients and place in unbaked crust.
Cake Layer:
3/4 cup softened butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup flour
Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour and mix thoroughly. Dollop the mixture by spoonfuls over the cranberry layer and smooth the top with a spatula.
Place the pake on a baking sheet to catch drips while baking. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees or until the top is golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature with ice cream.
**My friend uses the whole package of cranberries, I use about 3 cups.

I know that this may seem silly, but have you thought about cupcakes instead of regular cake? That way they can sell the individual cupcakes and things as well? There are lots of great ideas on here (I am sort of a cupcake-aholic) -- you could change up the frostings, add fillings, decorations, whatever you wanted..

Hi there,
Here is an easy recipe of a cake that I think everybody likes and you can personalize it a bit.
Chocolate and cinnamon Victoria sponge
1. take a baking bowl
2. put 200 g of butter and 200 g of sugar
3. mix them till you obtain a thigh and nice texture
4. add 4 eggs in the mixture
5. add some chocolate powder in the mixture with a little bit of cinnamon ( cinnamon bark) you can get some organic cinnamon from this site http://www.regenerativenutrition.com/shop-product.asp?prod=176&autocomplete1=Cinnamon&button=Go
6. Then you put it in the oven for about 20 minutes
7. Bon appetit

Hi, you already got lots of great recipes - I hope there is room for a few more
I think you'll surprise the girls at bingo with this unexpected yet delicious combination: Tahini, almond and chocolate cake
Any recipe by David Lebovitz is a sure bet, but this cake is to die for: Chocolate-Prune Cake
And last but not least, banana bread made better: Peanut butter banana bread - It's from the great blog "Delicious days".
Good luck on bingo night
