I am hosting a baby shower in approx 2 months. Any recipes would be helpful. I wanted to have at least 2 hot appys and some cold ones. Let me know if you have any ideas. icon_biggrin.gif

Pistachio Cheese Wafers are wonderful! Make ahead and store in an airtight container. Would be good if serving wine ~ or coffee / tea!

I suppose people are tired of seeing me recommend this, but it really is a great recipe:

    These are good with crackers:

Not a recipe, but my wife had a baby food-tasting game for her sister's shower. People tasted baby food and they had to guess what it was. My wife said that baby food really is horrid. icon_biggrin.gif

I must also plead guilty to recommending one recipe over and over. It's Prosciutto-wrapped Asparagus. So elegant and delicious that my family and friends beg for it time and again.

Another hot appy that's been a big hit is Creamy & Spicy Artichoke Dip With Pita Chips. Definitely not your average, everyday artichoke dip!

When it comes to cold appetizers, you can't ever go wrong with PanNan's Shrimp Dip. It's by far the best shrimp dip I've ever tasted, although I would urge you to use freshly-cooked rather than canned.

You might also want to check out Baby Pacifiers (shower Favors). You can tie bows with tiny pastel ribbon for favors, use them to decorate cupcakes, etc. Too cute! Rather than using the commercial stuff suggested, I made Miss Annie's Royal Icing to assemble them. It took just minutes to make and worked perfectly.

Thanks for all the help with the ideas. I'm just getting started to put together a menu.
