Hi, by "tomato sauce" do you mean ketchup?

No, tomato sauce will be found with other tomato products, in the canned goods aisle. It is tomato puree cooked with vinegar, spices and herbs, but it is not ketchup.

Tomato sauce does mean ketchup in some countries, but that is not what is meant in this case, as the contributor lives in the U.S. I've never known canned tomato sauce to have vinegar in it, though, unless a small amount was added by a home canner to acidify the product.

Oh ok, cheers

I'm from NZ, so for us "tomato sauce" usually means ketchup (and ours is lot, lot sweeter than Heinz!)
