I have so wanted to make some recipes from Egypt. I lived there for a couple of years so know the cuisine well. But I started full-time work in April and my life is reeling out of control. Hope to make it to Persia. Thanks for organising these tags. Lots of fun, even if I only get the pop in to salivate over the pics and choices. yummy.gif

You're welcome. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. Congrats on the full time job! These threads will be here forever for posterity so it will be easy to find particular cuisines when you have the time. icon_smile.gif

Thanks! Fries & vinegar is a British thing? Growing up in Maine, at the State & County fairs, w'd have fries sprinkled with vinegar! YUM! I've noticed the Dukkah recipes are sometimes very different, never mind the spelling is usually different, too. And the day I discovered fava beans was a wonderful day! And I have since discovered a market nearby where we can buy them frozen so we don't have to wait for the fresh!

I am so glad you enjoyed Egypt! Perhaps you'd enjoy Persia as well?

    Visiting Iran(Persia) in June 2012!

Hm, I thought it was a British thing because it's the only country I've visited so far where I did get fries with vinegar. germans would look at you in horror if you suggested to have fries that way icon_lol.gif But then I've never been to the USA, so no idea who is the egg and who the hen icon_wink.gif

I'll be right there in Persia, my culinary love icon_razz.gif
