I'd love to try your Peas and onions Au Gratin, but I don't have a microwave. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Hi Miller
Not sure if this will work, but might be worth a try -
par boil peas and onion from frozen state with a little water, just 'til almost tender.
In a saucepan on low heat whisk together cheese, milk, pepper and garlic, bring to just below boil, add well drained peas and onion, bring to boil, stirring, and heat through. Serve sprinkled with croutons.

    alternately
put par boiled peas and onions in a veggie sprayed casserole, whisk together cheese, milk, pepper and garlic, pour over peas and onions, sprinkle with croutons, cook in 400 degree oven for maybe 15 minutes or until onions are tender.

Hope this works, i would be interested to know, please let me know how it turns out, i think I will try it myself, it might even be better in the oven.

    Good Luck

    Hi Miller
I had some peas and onions left in the freezer, couldn't wait, so I tried them in the oven for dinner tonight. I think they turned out better than in the microwave!! Thanks for asking, I added a comment on the recipe, Hope you try them, I think you'll like them.

I was anxious to try them, so I went to the corner grocery store earlier this evening. Horrors! They were OUT of peas & onions! Off to a different store tomorrow icon_smile.gif
