I have a kenwood BM 450 breadmaker. I have used it in the past, no problem. Today I put it on Programme 1 and started the machine. It kept kneading for much longer than before. I stopped the machine. Now whenever \i start teh machine the time displays 3.15 and the machine is continuously in mix mode. How do I get the machine to stop? Pressing the stop button does nothing. I want to cancel the programme and start again, howdo I do that please?

Try unplugging it ~ and plug it in again! Hopefully it will reset it itself!

Unplugging and plugging it in again was the first thing I did. The machine just defaults to where it was before. I need to cancel the programme so I can start again. Can anyone help please?

Did you try pressing and holding the start/stop button until the screen clears? That was the only other thing I could think of - unplugging works to reset my machine, which is a different brand. I do have to keep it unplugged for about 10 minutes for it to reset, as it has a power interruption function for short power interruptions. If you just unplugged and then plugged in again right away, try keeping it unplugged for 10 minutes or so.
You may need to contact customer service for the manufacturer.
