I just got some "new" china on craigslist and can't wait to use it on Easter. So very excited.

Oh, I love new china and would love to see what you got! What does it look like? Can you post a photo of it? Or if you know the pattern name, I can look it up. Have you decided how you're going to decorate your table?

It is Noritake Reverie (green trim). It is an old pattern but I am going to freshen it up with rattan chargers and lime green napkins. I think I will use clear footed stemware and get some flowers that reflect the pattern in the plates. What's exciting is I got 101 pieces of this pattern for $50 on craigslist. All in perfect condition!

NiteOwl, what a gorgeous table! I'm so glad you shared it with us. I love your china and those silver goblets are stunning. What kind of flowers did you use in the vases?
If you don't mind, would you please explain to me what a Seder plate is? I have never seen one of those before. Are the shelves glass?

Thanks! For the flowers, I wanted height so I just cut branches from some flowering trees near my house (I have no idea what they are)
To explain the seder a bit: the Passover seder is a festive meal that commemorates the ancient Israelites' exodus from slavery in Egypt to freedom on the way to the Promised Land and peoplehood as the Jewish nation.
At the seder, the seder plate holds the symbolic foods that are used during the seder (some are eaten and some are just visual symbols) Briefly, they include a bitter vegetable (horseradish root) as a reminder of the bitterness of slavery, a shankbone and a roasted egg symbolizing the ancient Temple sacrifices, a brownish fruit mixture called haroset reminiscent of the mortar used by the slaves, and a green vegetable like parsley as a symbol of the springtime.
The plate itself can be as plain or as decorative as one's personal taste and style. The variety is unlimited. As 3 matzahs are also part of the required food at the seder, our seder plate has 3 lucite shelves to hold the matzas.
Hope this made sense and answered your questions -- I'm happy to answer any more!

NiteOwl, thank you for explaining this to me.
I was hoping to get a spring table set to share, but RL has just gotten in the way. If inspiration hits today, I might just whip up a table setting.
