This is a common issue that has been reported to IT.

Normally, if you refresh the letters one will appear that you can actually read. I am sorry you are experiencing this I know it is frustrating.

This is the MOST frustrating setup I've ever encountered! I cannot send email. NO HUMAN BEING could possibly decipher these stupid code words. This is a problem. I hope this will be resolved soon, because this is a great site. I would like to be able to email recipes. PLEASE HELP!!!! icon_cry.gif

We have requested that this feature be more readable. In the meantime, there is an option there for you to get a new word. To the right of the box where you enter the words you see are three little icons. The top one is of two arrows making a circle. Click it to Get a New Challenge aka new words. The second is a picture of a megaphone to Get an Audio Challenge. And the circle with the question mark is for Help. Hope this helps.

I know it's hard to tell as well when the email has been sent because the page just refreshes kind of implying you need to submit again but underneath the captcha in bold will advise when it has been sent. It will say, Your message was successfully sent. You may go back to the page you were on or you may send e-mail to another friend(s). This has also been reported to make more apparent. If you get this message and your friend is still not receiving, have them check their SPAM/JUNK folder.

So sorry Mary, but before I even posted that comment, I had already tried -- literally -- at least 20 different attempts at "word" changes. Not a single pair was readable enough to re-create. (And while I may not be as tech-savvy as I'd like to be, I have never been described as being illiterate!) I have successfully used a similar function on other sites, but this one is, for some reason, unbearably inscrutable! Is there ANY other way to do this? If not, I guess I'll just stop trying. icon_sad.gif

I know it's frustrating. Again, we've requested it be made more readable. However in the interim, your only other choices are to click on the second picture of a megaphone to Get an Audio Challenge or just copy the link from the URL and put in it an email to your friend.

Sorry to be a naysayer, but the audio is -- well -- inaudible...or at best incomprehensible. But thanks for the great suggestion...I will try to copy/paste the url and send it on.
