Happy Mothers Day!

A belated mothers day greeting to all the moms out there! Hope it was a lovely day. My mom came to spend the weekend so it was extra busy and extra fun. In our house, Mothers Day the kids and i honor Kirsty and all she does for us. There is a different day for me to shine! (grin) So I do get my day to be pampered, it just wasn't Sunday. The boys all helped me do breakfast in bed for gmom and Kirsty. We served scrambled eggs with roasted veggie, cranberry scones, a soy smoothie, and tea. May baskets and flowers graced their trays. My mom got a few small gifts, a teeny box of chocolates, a lighthouse candle and some earrings in a flower shaped box. Kirsty got chocolates and earrings and came home from church to find that we had planted her out a surprise garden under her work room window. I wish I could have taken pics of all 3 boys working on the garden. It was hysterical. Everyone had a trowel and the dirt was EVERYWHERE! LOL But it really ended up looking lovely and she was so surprised when she got home. The boys all did so well, Robbie is getting to be quite the young chef, he was chopping those veggies w/ me quite speedily, and i was so proud that even my eldest wanted to be part of the garden gift.

My mom was funny though. The kids and i were up at 5:45 to start breakfast and you have to understand that is only a teeny bit sooner than I ever arise. But Mom was stunned and thought I was 'putting myself out' rising so early. It just cracked me up!
