Do you have your Greek Tomato Salad posted? I love tomatoes, although when eating enough for a salad usually have more carbs than I desire, but I do still eat them. I also have to take the skin off or I have a hard time with them.

Yesterday I pushed mowed what part of the yard I can't do with the riding mower, that was a first for me, I usually hire that part of the yard done. I also did some weed eating on the part that neither the push mower or riding mower can get to then, I got my leaf blower out and blew off the patio/carport. I was worn out when finished. It was really good to get that type of exercise. I also cooked pork neck bones with new potatoes and made Mexican cornbread. I ate two of the neckbones, which if you know what they are you know they have very little meat on them. I ate half of a potato and a very small slice of Mexican cornbread. One of my sisters ate with me, so it was nice to have a home cooked meal and have someone to eat with. Tonight we plan on going to the Mexican restaurant to eat. I had planned on cleaning house today but it is so pretty I think I will get out and run around a bit. Need to get my medication refilled, so have to get out for that and believe I will just stop by and visit with some friends. It is suppose to rain tomorrow so I can always clean house then. I will do some exercise today, just haven't decided what. I really need to get in a routine of some sort.

    Have a good day.

I spent the week cleaning with my kids. Poor kids what a way to spend your Spring Break. I have been home for over 3 weeks now and am sick of how messy things were and knowing I had to get somethings done before summer so this week was an opportunity I had to take.

Monday- chipped the ice out of 1 freezer and wiped down, washed winter gear
Tuesday- run to town to get the ok to go back to work, cleaned bathrooms
Wednesday- cleaned the garden, started racking the dead grass
Thursday- raked the whole yard, started self-cleaning on oven
Friday- clean second freezer, laundry day

This week the kids cleaned their rooms, swept, mopped, vacuumed, helped in the garden, helped rack or take the dead grass to the old sandbox, wiped out the oven, wiped down outsides of the kitchen cupboards, cleaned windows and mirrors. And my son helped with the freezers.

Sounds like you had a busy week. You mentioned you had been home for 3 weeks, did you just have some type of surgery?

    Have a great weekend.

Lost two pounds as of this morning. Sure hope I can keep that off and keep up the losing. Need to get up and get busy. Dang this computer it keeps me from doing all kinds of work.

No real plans for exercise or eating today, I know shame on me, but I think I am getting a sinus infection. We burned my hillside off last night and I think I inhaled too much smoke.

I make a salad sorta like that only I use Italian dressing.

I have got to quit having lazy days, I had planned on mowing my grass today but stayed up late last night burning the hillside again. I call my friend and told him not to come tonight that I'd like for it to go out so that I can sleep and not have to keep getting up to check on it. Still smotering (don't think that is spelled correctly.) from last night though, so he may show and put more of my lawn gatherings on it. We have had such high winds this year that it is so full of tree limbs and branches, I had no room to put anymore.

I am going out of town tomorrow to have dinner with our former pastor and his wife, I loved them and I told my sister that is what I wanted to do for my birthday.

Back to the grind on Friday, I guess, on a better note I have now lost 4 lbs this week. Helps to keep junk food out of the house.

I had my gallbladder removed. So I had to take it easy for a bit. I am back to work now and and back full-boar. The begining of the week was getting back into the swing of things, but today I really pushed myself. I had a bunch of apples in the frig at work that needed to be used up now. So I started to make pie filling, but realized that I really don't have to room in the freezer, so I offered them to a co-worker who is doing fundraising. She is fundraising for new playground equip. and I thought
that this would be a good break from the usual 50/50 draws she has been doing. I am hoping to get fourteen pies out of the filling I made today. I already have buyers.

Nice of you to give your apples away. I had my apple trees cut down last year because it was just too much of a mess for me to take care of by myself. I'd like to have my black walnut tree cut down, too, but I think my dad would roll over in his grave if I did that.

Gallbladder surgery is a hard surgery for some to recover from and others, have no problem at all, so I have seen and heard. I still have mine but I expect problems with it soon, since I have lost so much weight.

Today is my birthday so I have not been on any kind of eating plan today, ate way too much for lunch and got kind of sick from it. Still not hungry and it has been over 5 hours since I ate lunch. The exercise I have gotten today has been all in the mouth. Chewing, do any of you know that kind? LOL

Hope everyone has a nice evening and a wonderful weekend. It is storming here in Kentucky, so my plans to mow tomorrow may be out the window.

Tasb - you still want to be careful, although not probably the same that I had, I had the full operation way before keyhole surgery.

Thank you, I had a wonderful birthday. I dreaded it because it was the first with no parents, but I kept busy and it was OK, did miss my dad a bit, but the rest was great.

Sorry Jac - the first of everything when you loose a loved one is dreadful…. memories are always there but it leaves a great hole in your life - you were a wonderfully caring daughter!

I have been a slacker and not posted here in a few days. I have been trying to get my house back in order but then you all have heard that excuse for days now. Actually, I am going through paper work of my parents and seeing what I need to keep.

    Have a good day.
