I have made it! hope to do some exercise today in the pool as my niece and her girls are coming over for the day and Dee who is nearly 2 is doing so well with a floating aid, and is more confident. so the exercise will do me good.

I have a painful shoulder - arthritis as well, and I find that if I do breast stroke, without kicking my legs it seems to ease it.

tonights dinner is chilli con carne with salad - its defrosting in the kitchen.

wont be exercising much tomorrow as I am having my flu shot plus the pneumonia shot

Yesterday I started to keep my journal of everything that is going into my mouth to make me more aware and I think twice about do I really need that or is it a case I want it. Cooking as best I can prepared a meat loaf with a side of sweet potatoes and steamed vegetables and dessert of nectarines and just had a egg salad toasted sandwich with lean bacon, tomato and lettuce and drinking a sugar free lemon squash. Breakfast was vegemite and cheese on toast with a cup of lemon herbal tea. For some reason my back is giving me curry today and keeps spasming on the right side, feels like I've pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve.

Today has not been a good food day for me. Darn those Girl Scout cookies. After that I did get back on track. For dinner I had my recipe I made for the contest, but I picked the potatoes out, just too much starch in those things for me. Supper, my sister and I will probably go to the Mexican restaurant and if not I will have homemade chili. Not often that I have more than one thing in my house to choose from at one time, but I have for the last few days, due to the contest mainly.

Exercise should have been to get out and pick up the limbs that the storms have left behind but with a painter here all day I just haven't done it.

I have finally gotten my dad's taxes done and will take to the tax man on Monday. That is a miracle since I thought I had hidden them from myself.

Tell everyone about this forum starting back up, please.

    Have a good evening.

I will be checking in, just not exercising right now. I am recovering from gallbladder removal surgery but hope to get moving again soon as I heal.

Sorry, no notifications at all since I last posted, so did not know you guys had been on sorry. Jac. those scout cookies are too nice eh! Tasb. Good to hear that you are home, take it easy.

Tonight we have my home made Chinese - no deep frying etc.
Pat, I agree the best way is to take a note, also a bowl, like a cereal bowl in the kitchen is good - you put anything you WOULD have put in your mouth in the bowl, and take a look at the end of the day icon_eek.gif

Gals, I have been so busy trying to get this house back to order that I just did not post. Today is going to be a lazy day for me, first because they have not finished putting my living room back in place from painting and I refuse to move the furniture and take a chance on scarring my new hardwood. Second, I traveled all day yesterday and am still kind of tired. I will do a little exercise today but not much as far as eating, I had my EAS protein drink for breakfast and for supper I will be having either more of my home made chili and then tossing the rest or ground lambed seasoned to my liking. I bought a new seasoning yesterday at Sam's Club and it is spiced rosemary and rosemary goes so well with lamb that I think I will put some in my lamb burger and bake it, just sounds so good. Now to decide which I will have. I will have a salad some time today, too, but don't know when I will be getting hungry.

Oh, I just learned that Pic a Chef is going on. I wish I had known earlier but I some how missed that. I have been so busy trying to get my house finished up for now and estate buying, that I haven't been checking that forum.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Jac, sounds like you have been so busy! its been so hot here, being in West Australia that we have been having mainly salads. tonight we are going to have pork ribs with a rub on it, a tossed salad, beetroot and tomato sliced with a dash of oilive oil, balsamic vinegar and with some fresh basil on top.

the other day I was given some fish, and I made up a marinade that I have just posted, it was lovely, but you dont need to have it as hot as we had it!

Good morning to all that come to Feeling Fit Friends, we are so glad that you found the time to join us in our goals to a healthier and more fit life style.

Today has started out badly for me. I am so sick of my house being messed up that I am about to tell the painter to go home I need a break. I have already messed my eating plan up, of course that could be because I had no plan, but I ate 5 girl scout cookies for breakfast and my protein drink, which is always my plan for breakfast, I guess I do plan my breakfast.

I ate the rest of my chili yesterday so today I will bake the ground lamb with rosemary. I plan on getting on my elliptical for at least 30 minutes today, that is if I get there before they come to finish painting my exercise room. I am so ready for my house to be in order that it is all I can think of. It will be a long time before I do any more work on it, except for my main bathroom, a friend of mine and I are going to do it, may take us forever but at least it won't be in my way and we can do it as I please.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and lets all get out there and move.

Groan! sounds like you have had a bad time Jac what with the painter etc. never a good time when others disrupt our lives.

Today was so hot that We opted for a barbecue of ribs and salads, it was great, and not much fat in the meal either

Today, actually now yesterday, I got out and picked up some of the limbs that have fallen out of my trees. I hope and pray the wind is almost over for this year but it got up to 77 degrees F here today and suppose to be up to 80 tomorrow. I have even considered turning on my A/C but hate to so early, plus we will have all our little winters coming, I hope.

I also finally got my lamb burgers with feta and a yogurt/mint dip cooked and then steamed some veggies for supper. So glad that the Spring is coming and so hope I can plant a garden.

Hope everyone has had a nice day/evening/night.

Today has been a good day for me, even if my painter didn't show, or should I say has not shown yet, but since he was suppose to have been here yesterday evening I guess he really hasn't shown. Thank God I have not paid him yet. I also discovered something else he hasn't painted.

Today I have only had protein drinks, two of them and plan on going to the Mexican restaurant for supper, with my sister, probably have grilled shrimp. Trying my hardest to get back on track with my weight loss.

As soon as I get rid of the painter I am going to start exercising hard. There is yard work to do and lots of things outside I can do to add to my regular exercise. I can't wait.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Jac - sounds like you have been busy - these workmen, they really have to be watched. we have had a good few days, the weather has been cooler, which is a blessing as it got so darned hot!

As the weather was cooler I made a beef and chilli casserole and we had that with vegetables, we have had so much salad lately, we really do like salad but its nice to have a break once it gets cooler.

Its hard for me exercise like a lot of folks do as I have quite bad arthritis I have been swimming and trying to do breast stroke without using my legs much as it helps my shoulder

Swimming sounds good to me. It got up to 82 degrees F today and it is still considered Winter here, at least until tomorrow. I wish I lived where we had a pool, but no such luck. I have an exercise room but so far it is not back in order, so can only do limited exercises at this time. Tomorrow I hope to mow so that will be the beginning of Spring/Summer routine.

I have to keep some candy in my house or I lose it, so I finally decided that I would buy it and put it in the basement. I now have to go to the basement to get some candy so I am hoping that it gets me back on track.

I am not a big fan or salads, winter or summer, but in the summer I can eat cereal and more yogurt, so am glad to see warmer weather coming, but remind me of this in July and August.

We are lucky that when we moved we were able to put a swimming pool in, so thats useful.

We are having a raclette meal for this evening, and except for the cheese thats full of veggies etc. have had some cereal this morning. and trying to be good and have not snacked at all.

Tomorrow is my Great nieces birthday and we are taking her to the park, where it has special really tiny swings and slides for toddlers, so am taking freshly cooked sausage rolls which I have cooked today (and not sneak one!) and other goodies and tiny cup cakes with hundreds and thousands on. luckily I am not keen on sweet stuff.

Sounds like you are able to keep fairly active anyway not liking salads does sometimes make it quite awkward, but it does not have to contain too much lettuce though. I do a nice greek tomato salad etc.
