It's been quite a while since I did a new table setting...in fact, I think it was at Christmas! icon_redface.gif

My daughter told me a couple of days ago that we need to start actually eating at the table more. So this setting was for her. icon_lol.gif

It was a very simple setting using pink and silver. I used a white lace tablecloth layered over a pink damask one. Pink chargers, "English Rose" china and pink goblets by Fostoria. The silverware was my grandmother's and it's one of my favorites. I used pink napkins with silver napkin rings.

The centerpiece was just a couple of votive candleholders and a pink mosaic candleholder placed in a thrift store footed silver tray. I tossed some clear marbles in the tray around the candleholders.

Very simple and quick to put together!

    What a lovely table!!
I have been a quiet follower of your forum for quite a while, and I am always inspired by how pretty your table settings are.

I have never really "set" a table in my home until recently, and totally inspired by what I have read here. Yesterday I went and bought new placemats and table linens, and today I bought a new set of dishes for everyday use. I am excited to use them all, and if I can figure the out how, I will post a photo.
I told my husband today," good food deserves a pretty setting".
It made me feel so good to set the table for breakfast this morning for just the two of us and we both enjoyed the food, the presentation and the atmosphere that the table created. Thank you for the inspirations.

Hi Kippy! It's so good to have you joining us! Please don't be a "quiet lurker" any more! Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself when I post here. rotfl.gif

I agree with your statement "good food deserves a pretty setting". It doesn't have to be an over-the-top frou-frou expensive table either! Some of my favorite settings were done with items from thrift stores. I love playing with dishes...maybe it goes back to my childhood and having tea parties with my dolls.icon_lol.gif

I would really love to see your new goodies and posting photos honestly isn't hard to do. If you have a photo hosting site, like Photobucket, I can walk you through how to post them.

So pretty! Pink is one of my favorite colors and the roses are a nice touch. Tea parties indeed!
