I spent about month in Morocco in 2009, and lived in Egypt for two years in
the mid-1970s. Went back in 2009. Have also visited and later lived in
Jordan, Syria and Lebanon in the 1970s, 80s and 2009.
Have spent almost two months in Turkey in 2009 and 2011.
Hubby (Poor John) has done the same and also visited Libya, Algeria,
Tunisia, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. He was an Arab specialist in the
Australian Department of Foreign Affairs.

I only posted a fraction of Algerian recipes on this site. We could all add to our NA*ME cookbooks in preparation for ZWT!
No rules...post & tag to your hearts content. I only posted a small introduction.

Does that mean we are visiting NA*ME next world tour?

What does Arab specialist mean?
My father works for The Department of Foreign Affairs that is why I have travelled somewhat as well

He was taught Arabic in the 1970s and thereafter had lots of postings
and duties in the Middle East. IMHO, at one time, he knew more about what
was going on in the war in Lebanon that any other westerner.
He had three stints there during the war. I was along for one of those.
