I don't know about you, but when hosting cooking events, or just being a participant, so many great recipes go before my eyes, and there I sit drooling all over the computer and partially on the poor dog, too. I have already contemplated when I can make the recipe myself, and can just visualize it already served up on the table.
I save it right in one of my cookbooks, right away....and dream of the day I can whip it up.
Well, days run into weeks, weeks into months, and there that sweet recipe sits and waits until such a time, it might grace itself before my eyes once again.
All three of us gave thought to our March event for the Diabetic Forum, and since our cookbooks are bubbling over with so many enticing recipes, just waiting to be made, we thought it would be fun to go back into our cookbooks, dust em' off, and make those recipes we had come to save. So let's clean our cookbooks out and start fresh for the next year!
Along those lines, try to make them healthy, and give a nod to them being "health-ful - friendly", or make one that you don't consider healthy, but you enhance it by making a healthier version.
So come on'! Let's see those saved recipes with cob-webs all over them......
We're cleaning out some of these recipes, and they are getting eaten!
Barley Salad With Tomatoes and Corn
New Potatoes With Dijon Vinaigrette
Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts for Two

If you have already played a tag game then you know how this works. If this is your first venture into the fun of recipe tagging let me tell you that it's easy, fun. All you do is find a recipe that you would like to make. Remember we are looking for healthy and healthy is very dependent upon individual needs and diet. You'll have until the end of the month to report back to us here in this thread. Thats all!
To tag please follow this format:
TAGGING FORM:
I want to remind everyone of the requested tagging form. Please include all on the following info when tagging and reporting.
Tagging:
Recipe-#xxxxxx #xxxxxx by Chef X's
(remember to add the recipe number a second time)
Reporting In:
Tagged
Recipe-#xxxxxx #xxxxxx by Chef X
(remember to add the recipe number a second time)
is done and share a little something about your history and traditions or those special memories of seasons past.
Tagging will begin on March 1st and go through March 31st. The thread will remain open for a few days after that to give everyone a chance to wrap up their reviewing and completion reports. You are welcome to tag as many recipes as you can complete in the allotted time frame of this event.
Please know that you may join in at any time during the event and that chat is certainly allowed. We look forward to having you join us.

Andi, I could cook 24 hours a day for many many years and never get all my wanna do's done. I'll be here for the first part of the month but will be traveling toward the end. I hope to get lots done.

Andi, I love your intro!! It just hits my nerve
Paula, where are travelling to? Second half of March must be nice in your part of the world.
I'll be in Dresden for a conference from 8th to 11th but hopefully otherwise have enough time to get some recipes done before I save all the new recipes I watch you making

Good morning Mia. I am anxious to get things going in the thread. I have such little time and so much I want to do. We are taking a road trip and traveling across country. This is something we haven't done in years and years. I am getting a little excited.

Paula, wow! You are taking a big step traveling across country - but I bet it will be wonderful ~ are you driving to Atlanta? We used to drive from Maryland to Florida 2x a year taking my In-laws to Florida for the Fall, and bringing them back in Spring. It was a Long, Long, Long, drive, but fun!
Oh Mia, is this conference going to be a teaching/learning conference? I bet you will be hankering to get home after a lot of fun being away....

It is a learning conference, and I'm SO looking forward to it. But not sure now if I'll be able to go. My SIL wanted to come and keep DH company - he's still afraid to stay alone - but just one hour ago she phoned that she won't come because she has a laparoscopy on Monday because of an unidentifyable kind of tumor on one of her ovaries. Pray that it is NOT cancer - the poor woman is sick with fear.

Holy cow Mia ~ that sounds awful! I will be praying everything turns out ok, and your SIL will still remain healthy and happy.
