I made a huge lifestyle change 10/01/07 when I weighed 207 lbs. and was looking at going on medication for multiple health issues.

Long story short those life style changes resulted in a loss of 89 lbs. and only needing one pill for thyroid issues.

Well after all these years I have gained 5 lbs. and while I am feeling awful about the weight gain and going off program but it just takes so much time and energy to stay with it and I am always out of step with the rest of the world or so it feels.

I understand your feelings, I get overwhelmed sometimes when trying to stick with my life style changes and I have gained a few pounds after having lost close to 100 lbs. Everyone needs support and I will encourage you to go back to those '07 life style changes, you feel so much better.

I can empathise with how you feel, I too have gained over a stone since Christmas and I feel so low and angry with myself. I actually write articles for diet and healthy eating, so I have no excuse because I know exactly what I should and shouldn't eat in order to stay slim, but whenever I seem to have stress in my life, it's always food that I turn to. I simply don't know how to stop when I start on a binge phase.

I think you are doing the right thing using this forum, it is good to use as part of your support network, and if anything I have written will help please feel free to take a look, I post a lot of articles on wordpress and blogger or you could follow me on twitter at www.easiestwaylose10pounds.com

Good luck and I really hope you (and I) find the answer to maintaining a healthy weight.......I'm going to check out some of the healthy recipes here on the site next so speak soon
    Best wishes

    Hi Lauralie,

Getting better as I am starting to forgive myself for getting off track and starting to feel the results of eating healthy again.
