What is everyone making for Valentine's day? I am looking for ideas for my 3 year old's school party at her daycare... Looking for kid friendly, portable treats... Anything beyond the typical cupcake?

How about the chocolate covered banana "pops" that were one of the items at this party (http://annies-eats.com/2011/06/23/andrews-third-birthday-party/). You could use white chocolate tinted pink for Valentines day, or pipe a pink heart on the dark chocolate.
There is no shortage of Valentine cookie recipes here at food dot and on the net. Cookies are always a hit with kids. You could also make cookie/fruit bars - sort of like granola bars (no nuts!) and decorate them.

My 2 yr old granddaughter loves these: Playgroup Granola Bars I usually make them with dried apricots or craisins or golden raisins instead of the brown ones and I cut the sugar to 3/8 cup. The first review posted has some additional suggestions.
