Has anybody baked a cheesecake in a slow cooker, I'm concerned it may damage the crock, I've read several online manuals that advise against heating the crock without food in it. I've found several slow cooker cheesecake recipes online that use the slow cooker exclusively, I want opinions before I buy a 7" springform pan. It would be great if it's okay, we travel in the summer in a TT that has a microwave only, so I'm collecting all the slow cooker recipes I can get. TIA DM
Adding a note, I found my answer here (Food.com) contained in a recipe for a cheesecake baked in a slow cooker, none of the other recipes I found mentioned adding water to the crock, so my original thought process was correct, I definitely would have cracked, ruined the crock. If anybody has any other hints, please let me know. Thanks

I'm glad you found the answer. I honestly don't know about the cracking and don't want to experiment to find out.
