Does anyone have any experience with CroftonŽ 7 Quart Stainless Steel Slow Cookers? Aldi's have them on sale for $19.99 but have never heard of the brand. I googled the name but it wasn't much help.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I DO! I have one and really like it! I am thinking of getting another one this week as they are on sale for 19.99. I paid at Aldi's 29.99 for the 7 qt and it is more than worth the money.
I atually have a few Crofton items, a crock, a juicer (wide mouth) , a rattan dresser with 5 drawers, (these are at ALdi's this week also), a 2 qt crock I got on sale there for 7.99, and am also thinking of getting the hostess 3 dish warming tray. I have wanted one for a few years and the price is 49.99

I don't, but I saw them and thought what a great value! Good to know someone recommends Croftons. Love Aldi, just never needed the appliances. Yet. icon_wink.gif

I just bought one this afternoon and then googled it to see if I could read any reviews. Came across this wonderful RecipeZaar site. Thanks for your posts! I figured for the price, it is a great quality slow cooker! I may even go back and buy the pressure cooker for $39.99 - - Love Aldi's store also! icon_smile.gif

After searching some, I find I can't help other than commisserate with you. I'm having trouble finding a replacement crock for a Hamilton Beach unit. Spare parts are just difficult to find.

The lid for my Rival broke last year.l I found that using aluminum foil (double piece) to cover and then topping it with whatever saucepan lid I have that more or less covers it works quite well> Not pretty but it does the job. Just made a new to me lamb recipe today doing this, and it was perfect when I got home.

I just got a Crofton Buffet Server with warming tray and I was checking the reviews because I am thinking of going to buy the one with three seperate temperature controls to go with this one. When I was checking for reviews, I found this website. The Service Center information to get replacement parts is : 1-888-367-7373. And the website is http://www.wk-usa.com or you can email customer service at customer-service@wk-usa.com

See if that toll-free number will get you to the replacement parts center.

I have a very old crockpot which has no lid any longer, but which I still use as it cooks cooler than the new ones. I put a double layer of aluminum foil, pressing it down around the outside, and then top with whatever saucepan lid fits the best. This works well enough to maintain a good cooking temperature for me. It does not look pretty, but I don't particularly care about that.
