Need OAMC ideas for up to 6 yr approval

Hi, I don't get to pop in here much, basically when I am stuck for food ideas for kids.

I have agreed to do a presentation next week on teaching healthy cooking to the parents of kids, the age range is from 0-6 yrs old.

I am a school cook and do fairly healthy meals for the kids there, but when it comes to teaching a parent how do it I am freaking out. Seriously. My kids are between 7 and 13, but I have never changed what we eat, other than lately sneaking in whole wheat flour into baked good that don't have to white (shortbread, pie pastry, white bread).

At work I do more whole wheat things, like biscuits, muffins, whole wheat pasta. I sneaking in veggies when I can like grating carrots and zucchini into pasta sauces, chili, and soups that are more veggies than anything else. But I am not so great at portions really.

I have decided to try and approach this topic as more of Once A Month Cooking deal, teach parents how to cook once and have a few meals, one for eating and some for freezing.

I have also posted in the OAMC forum.

    Thanks for your help.
