Gladstones Fish Restaurant in Malibu, CA has the world's best clam chowder. I've tried to get the recipe, but the chef won't share. Does anyone out there have the recipe, or any ideas where I can get it.

I've been to Gladstones many times and you're right the soup is to die for(and the bread bowl is great too). I looked everywhere on the web I could and no one is sharing the recipe so far. Hope someone will post it here!

Thanks - I hope someone out there has it. I even emailed Melinda Lee of KFI Foodtalk radio and they wouldn't share with her.

Yet another ancient thread comes back to life! icon_lol.gif This is a very archaeological site lately.
Apparently the place was sold some time ago and the new owner didn't do as well as the original. I don't think this is the actual recipe, it doesn't say, but it does mention their chowder. Take a look and see what you think. http://caressrecipes.blogspot.com/2009/11/clam-chowder.html

Thanks - saw this recipe & while it may be good, I can tell its not "the one"! We are @ Gladstone's yesterday & that's the best chowder! Appreciate the suggestion.
