Anyone receive a cool new kitchen gadget as a gift? Or find one in the Boxing Week sales?

I participated in a gift swap (ie "dirty santa" game), and luckily in this one we're allowed to bring home the item you brought....I ended up bringing home the ceramic tagine I brought. I've used it once so far, loved it! I also received a HUGE new enamel cast iron pot (one of the kitchen aid ones).

Yes! I got one of these:

It's a heavy-duty stainless steel dicer. Super easy to clean and it works great. Not one that's going to be stuck in the back of the cabinet. (Like the potato ricer that I had to have even though I make mashed potatoes less than once a year...)

Oh cool, a tagine, thats something Ive wanted to have for a long time. icon_biggrin.gif
Cast iron pans are so great, they are the best post to have in my opinion. I only have one (a cheap one, but still good), but my mum has all the expensive Le Creuset ones and I love to use them when Im home. icon_smile.gif

WICC, how funny, I got the exact same one a couple of month back from a friend of the family. Havent used it, but thought it was very handy looking. Great to know clean up is easy. icon_biggrin.gif

I got a new Vitamix. It's the most fanstastic appliance I own. I've made soups, vegan ice cream and great smoothies with it so far. I'd highly recommend it.

OOOOOOOHHHH! Lucky you Gingersnap!! I so want one. They're selling on the shopping channel (canadian one that is), for a pretty decent price, but I think it's the basic version...I'd love the one you can grind grains with as well.

Magpie, I just saw this post. We got ours off the Vitamix website, but I understand some of the newer mixers can do many of the same things - like Ninja, etc. Costco sells Vitamix as well. My Vitamix makes ice cream and soup, but I need to purchase the grain grinder blade for it. I love it. We've had wonderful soups, breakfast drinks and ice cream using only 3 ingredients with our Vitamix.
